What it does

Transit properties, the way a shift actually runs.

CaseTrace Transit is for rail and bus stations, transit centers, park-and-rides, platforms and concourses, and for the station managers, security officers and transit police liaisons who answer for them. It documents incidents. It does not watch riders.

Log incident

Written down while it is fresh

A fall on the platform stairs, a fight in the concourse, damage at an entrance: the officer or manager logs it from a phone, in structured fields and their own words, typed or dictated, and it gets an incident number.

Preserve

Kept as the property's own record

Preserving is its own step, taken on purpose. The photos and clips are fingerprinted, so a later change to any of them shows. The record belongs to the property, not to BlueWave.

Share

Shared only when a person decides

Preserving a record never shares it. When a manager approves, it goes to transit police or an insurer as one sealed package, with its history attached, and whoever holds it can verify the seal.

Doctrine
The system serves a result. It never makes a determination.
CaseTrace Transit records events, not riders. It does no fare enforcement, it does not follow people through the system, and it names no one from a camera. Every determination is made by a person.
On day one

What a transit property has from the start.

  • Incidents logged from a phone on the platform, in the concourse or at the entrance, each with its own incident number
  • Log incident, Preserve and Share as three separate, deliberate steps
  • Photos and clips fingerprinted, so any later change to a file shows
  • Works with the cameras and recorder a property already has, with CaseTrace Edge, a palm-sized box, on top
  • Encrypted push-to-talk inside the app, and the Handoff Center for transit police and insurers
  • One record per property, owned by the property: no records pooled, none sold
In the field

Platform, concourse and office. One record.

Officers and station staff work from the phone: a notice lands, someone takes it, and the record shows who handled it and when. When an operator, a rider or transit police asks about a night months later, the record from that night is still there.
